Service Description

Meet over video call to get your questions answered and solutions in place. During your initial consultation we'll discuss the questions and concerns you have about feeding and caring for your baby. Some common issues are painful latch and other latching issues, slow infant weight gain, fussy baby, planned return to work, supply issues, recurrent mastitis, formula feeding problems, bottle feeding and more. Every family and situation is different, but some of the things that you might expect during your visit are: • Weight check for baby • Latching assistance and techniques • Infant oral assessment • Functional assessment of feeding at breast and/or bottle • Pump education and trouble shooting • Flange fitting • Supplemental feeding plans • Formula feeding education • Weighted feed to assess milk transfer at breast • Wound care and healing where applicable • Soothing techniques and general infant care support At the end of every visit, you will have a plan in place that will help you and baby move forward with your unique feeding goals. Care plans can include: oral exercises, pumping plans, feeding plans, and referrals to additional providers as needed. Expect to be asked to complete some homework ahead of your appointment to ensure a stress free meeting. Angelica will request a set of photos and video so that the pressure is off when it comes time to chat!
